LOl! Did you know what Salinger meant when he named the character Holden Caulfield? "hold on caul field", a reference to the "caul" or amniotic sac that covers a newborn mammal, an expression of the character's resistance to transformation and distrust of adulthood. :)
lack of guidance maybe. Or the lack of imagination, guess most of us believe we know better or that we have seen it, known it all, so maybe its better we stay inside the shell. ~perhaps~

:)) Makes sense. Why is it that our generation seems more resistant to adulthood, than, probably how our parents' generation was?
